The National
Softball Association has revoked authorization of the
following model softball bats for use in all NSA sanctioned events
(Tournament and League Play).
Please go to: www.playnsa.com
to view the approved equipment list. This page will list all bats
that are approved for NSA play. If the bat isn't listed, it isn't
approved and therefore illegal to use.
Wilson/Demarini and Miken Sports did not sign the 2004 and 2005 NSA
bat contract, so any new models introduced after 2003 are not
approved. Again see the list at playnsa.com - approved equipment tab
for further information.
Some bats like
Easton Synergy SCX2, Miken Ultra, Miken Ultra II, Louisville Slugger Genesis SB103 & Genesis
SB34 were been deemed non-approved after testing.
PICTURES OF NON APPROVED BATS ARE LISTED BELOW - THIS IS NOT A
COMPLETE LIST OF NON APPROVED BATS
(I'll try to update this as I can -
remember though that if a bat isn't listed on the national site (playnsa.com)
under approved equipment,
then it isn't approved for use in NSA sanctioned play):
